Process Technician – Battery – Korean Speaking
Hatch is currently seeking a Junior Process Technician – Battery Cell Manufacturing to join our Metals Practice. Our team consists of highly specialized engineers focused on applying emerging technologies to support Gigafactory projects across the North America!
Responsibilities
Provide process & equipment engineering support in battery cell manufacturing field.
Work with equipment suppliers on design, build, validation, and commissioning.
Assist in the specification, procurement and qualification of battery manufacturing equipment.
Develop battery cell processes including Process Flow Diagram (PFD), equipment planning and approval of cell equipment specifications.
Support implementation of the safety specifications and equipment safety reviews
Development and implementation of Bill of Process and Bill of Equipment
Plan and execute Design of Experiments (DoEs) to characterize boundary conditions and optimize process for manufacturability and quality.
Continuously improve safety, quality, responsiveness, and cost.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical or similar Engineering degree.
Experience applying process and equipment specifications and manufacturing environment is beneficial but not required.
Bilingual (English/Korean) is mandatory.
Experience with installation, debug, and start-up of high-volume manufacturing equipment is beneficial but not required.
2+ years of Battery industry experience is beneficial but not required.
Team player with communication skills.
