Our values are our foundation:
Our team is paramount to our success, and it includes everyone. Our value of team manifests in courtesy towards all. This team is ambitious. We embrace challenges and we keep improving. We are true problem-solvers, seeking win-wins. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve in this team and complete meaningful projects. That gratitude must be repaid with a steady application of honesty and reliability. Wellness for all remains front and center through culture and standards that go beyond the elements of our award-winning health & safety management system.
If you love managing diverse construction projects and contributing to all matters of group success, then this is a terrific opportunity.
Junior Project Manager
As a Project Manager, you are the expert and leader of the project team, the plan, and ultimately the success of the project. You report to the Vice President of Operations. Reporting to you are the site supervisors and their crews, and the project administrators. You also work with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Project Managers manage budgets, forecast work, coordinate people, equipment, and materials, lead through strategy and goals, manage expectations, drive performance, make varying site and office commitments, trouble-shoot issues, capture opportunities, manage and estimate change, and much more. As a Junior Project Manager you will be assigned projects that best suit your level of expertise and allow you to develop.
Approximately 25% of your time will be devoted to estimating. This makes our Project Managers important to our work acquisition strategies, gives them a leg up in understanding how to see through projects to successful completion, and provides variety.
There are many different relationships and tasks to manage from day to day, so we need someone with the right attitude and a broad skill set.
Working With Us
We complete projects all over Ontario but primarily in the Golden Horseshoe, with our head office located in Stouffville, Ontario.
We’re a service-oriented company that takes pride in building lasting, collaborative connections with all stakeholders. Getting it done isn’t good enough; we want to work together to find quality approaches and solutions to all the challenges of this industry.
We take health and safety very seriously and we expect all our employees to prioritize a safe work environment. We provide additional training to make sure everyone stays safe. We work hard to maintain our COR designation.
We focus on people and process, and we seek out challenging, multi-disciplinary projects. This is where we find success. Success means a win for all people involved in the project and winning is what we do. We’re not afraid to celebrate our success: we have a great team, and we like to reward them with parties, bonuses, and fun events (like golf tournaments!) for all their hard work.
The Details
This is a full-time, permanent position, with a starting salary between $70,000 and $90,000, based on ability and experience. That’s not all, Project Managers receive an annual bonus based on their projects’ profits and individual performance, complete and flexible benefits, a group RSP after 1 year of service, a company vehicle or allowance, and a company cell phone or allowance, 3 weeks of vacation, 5 days of paid emergency leave, 1 personal day, an annual fitness credit, and a hybrid work schedule that allows you to work from home 2 days per week.
