Hays Looking for Recruitment Coordinator at Toronto, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with a retail organization in Toronto, ON. We are looking to hire a Recruitment Coordinator to join their team on a contract basis of 3 month contract with potential for extension. This role is hybrid in office.

Your new role:

• Conduct high volume recruitment for retail and warehouse positions, including initial screening and assessment.
• Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) proficiently to manage and track candidate progress throughout the recruitment process.
• Coordinate and administer onboarding activities, ensuring all necessary documentation and processes are completed accurately.
• Participate in on-site job fairs, group interviews, and other recruitment events as needed.
• Post job openings on various platforms including job boards, company websites, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, shopping mall centers, and universities.
• Collaborate with the recruiting team to distribute responsibilities effectively.
• Manage approximately 15 requisitions simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective communication with hiring managers.
• Work closely with the Retail and Warehouse teams to understand hiring needs and develop targeted recruitment strategies.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• 1-3 years of experience in high volume recruitment, preferably within retail or warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and the ability to navigate them effectively.
• Tech-savvy with the capability to engage with social media platforms for candidate sourcing and engagement.
• Experience with onboarding processes, HR systems, or manual onboarding procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, especially in coordinating recruitment activities.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High energy level and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Flexibility to participate in on-site events at different locations, including job fairs and interviews.
• No specific education requirements: looking for a junior-level candidate eager to grow in the field.
• Retail seasonality and job fair experience considered an asset.

What you’ll get in return:

While on the contract, you will receive weekly pay at a competitive hourly rate depending on your experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be brought on permanently.
