Hays Looking for Superintendent at Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area Full Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Multifamily Superintendent to manage the construction of wood frame apartment-style buildings from start to finish. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in multifamily construction, particularly with wood frame apartment-style buildings. The candidate should have excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the construction of a wood frame apartment-style building project from start to finish

• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget

• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications

• Supervise and train site staff and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met

• Manage project schedules, budgets, and quality control to ensure timely project completion

• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a superintendent in multifamily construction, particularly with wood frame apartment-style buildings

• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to manage and supervise a team of contractors and subcontractors

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software

• Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction documents

• Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and construction industry standards

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines
