HCR Permanent Search is currently working with a top manufacturing company in Vaughan who needs to hire an Accounting Manager. To be considered, you will need work 5 years of accounting experience while being employed with a manufacturing company. To attract the best talent, my client is offering a competitive pay rate ($80, 000-$100,000/year, will consider 105k for someone with managerial experience), a good benefits program and a place where you can grow your career.
This role is 100% on site.
Minimum Requirements:
- A University degree in accounting or finance
- 5 years of accounting experience while being employed with a manufacturing company
- Preference for someone with SAP experience
- Work experience with Canadian GAAP and SOX404
- Must be flexible in respect to hours of work including weekends (for month end, year end, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Manage 4 people in the accounting department.
- Review and approve requisitions
- Set up and maintain Pricing Conditions
- Prepare journal entries
- Manage the financial control & reporting of fixed assets and manufacturing costs
- Prepare monthly reconciliations
- Ensure plant financials are compliant with legal requirements
- Work in compliance with SOX 404 requirements
