Role Description
We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team in High River, AB. This pivotal role involves overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including financial reporting, analyzing financial statements, and managing accounting processes. Working closely with our finance team, the Financial Controller will provide crucial financial insights and strategies to foster the organization’s growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily financial and accounting operations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop financial strategies that support the company’s goals.
- Provide accurate financial data and insights to senior management to aid in decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in analyzing financial statements.
- Significant experience in finance, financial reporting, and accounting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial management.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to provide valuable financial insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional certification (CPA, CFA) is considered an asset.
