The Opportunity

Do you thrive in an exciting and evolving environment? Highbury Canco is looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual to round out our team in a Cost Accountant/Analyst role at our Leamington location.

Responsibilities

• Fostering strong team relationships through positive and respectful interactions.
• Ensuring accuracy and ownership of all financial reporting activities.
• Monthly and annual labour analysis, product costing and GL maintenance.
• Timely completion of journal entries, and financial statements.
• Providing support for audit activity as required.
• Daily and weekly inventory reporting with resolution of all unreconciled items.
• Preparation of annual financial and product cost budgets as well as product standards.
• Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience with a university degree in business and accounting.
• CPA designation (or in process) encouraged but not required.
• A positive and willing attitude with a keen eye for process improvement.
• Ability to work independently and in a dynamic team setting.
• Ability to problem-solve.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills.
