About This Role/The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as an Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Manager. Reporting to the Financial Director, the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial transactions of the organization, managing the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the financial operations.
The Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Manager will lead a team of professionals, develop and implement processes, and maintain accurate financial records to support the organization’s financial health.
How You’ll Make An Impact/duties And Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable:**
- Manage and oversee the entire accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
- Monitor customer accounts for timely payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
- Prepare and analyze aging reports to assess the company’s financial health and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement credit control policies to minimize the risk of bad debt.
- Accounts Payable:**
- Supervise the accounts payable function, including processing invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely manner.
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with procurement and other departments to validate and authorize payment requests.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions related to accounts payable.
- Streamline and optimize the accounts payable process to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Financial Reporting:**
- Generate regular financial reports related to accounts receivable and accounts payable for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.
- Provide insights and analysis on financial data to support decision-making processes.
- Compliance:**
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations that may impact accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
What do you need to perform in this job / What you’ll bring to the table
- 1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 2. Proven experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- 3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
- 4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
