Job description:
– We are a family, looking to hire Behavior Interventionist(s) willing to work with our mildly autistic 3-year son. Some experience will be an asset, but we are mostly looking for someone who is enthusiastic, fun, creative, and enjoys working with kids.

– Preference will be given to the students who are seeking to gain experience working with autistic children within the following or similar disciplines: Child, Family & Community Services, Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology or Social Work, etc.
– Training and on-going support will be provided by our experienced BCBA consultant. Because of this training, we require you provide a one year minimum commitment to the position.
– Pay will be based on the level of experience, and can be negotiated over time.

Our Team specifications:
– Our team uses the ABA method
– The BI must be able to commit to following mandatory times:
- Mandatory: Attend the biweekly team meeting on Tuesdays 9:00am-11:00am
- Mandatory: Having minimum 2 home-sessions per week (weekdays)
- Optional: Attend the daycare for 2-4 hours a week to support our son at daycare
- Remote: No

– South Burnaby, 5 min walk to Royal Oak skytrain (home-based ABA program).
– The daycare is close to our home (10min drive).
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
– Able to provide criminal record check
– Reliable, patient and consistent
– Able to work collaboratively with a team
– Willing to commit for 1 year
– Fluent in English (mandatory)
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $15.20-$25.00 per hour
