Horizon Landscape Contractor’s Wood Working Division is growing rapidly and we need more Apprentices!
Working closely with the woodworking supervisor, the successful candidate will assist in fabricating, building and installing decks, site furnishings, wood structures (such as arbors and pergolas), fencing, retaining walls etc. from plans – primarily on commercial construction sites:
Complete jobs using a variety of tools and equipment safely
Ability to safely operate Power Tools such as Cut-off Saws
Assist in the loading and unloading of materials (We work with a lot of large pieces of wood, large projects and heavy installs)
Participate in training events
Participate in safety training and meetings

Please note, as much of our work is in Vancouver and not all sites are accessible by transit, the ability and willingness to drive to site (Reliable vehicle and Drivers License) Are required for this position.
Covid Vaccine Policy
Horizon does not require that our employees be vaccinated against COVID-19 but some of our sites/General Contractors do. If you are scheduled for one of those sites, and are not vaccinated, you won’t be able to work.
Company events are frequently held at businesses where vaccination is required. If you are not vaccinated, you will not be able to attend.
If you exercise your right to not get vaccinated/show evidence of vaccination, we cannot guarantee full time work.
