The Human Resources Coordinator reports directly to the Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day transactional responsibilities of the Human Resources Department. The coordinator plays a key role in recruiting, company culture building and maintenance by providing exemplary and efficient “customer service” to all divisions and locations.

Maintaining a clean and organized HR email inbox and SharePoint
Completing various HR related clerical tasks

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Post-Secondary Education in the field of human resources required
CPHR an asset
Driver’s License (minimum Class 7/N)
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years in a fast-paced human resources department
Minimum 5 years working with the Microsoft Office suite
Experience working within the construction industry an asset
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures
Working knowledge of BC Employment Standards and Human Rights Legislation
3+ years of Human Resources experience
Excellent eye for detail and organization
Proficient, error free data entry
Ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Flexible and adaptable to change
Excellent command of the English language
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong customer service skills
Ability to deal with conflict resolution and negotiation an asset
Self motivated with strong decision making skills: Can work independently while being a part of a strong team environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a significant amount of time sitting using a computer while also being able to stand/walk for longer stretches of time. Bending, twisting and lifting up to 50lbs is required on occasion. Individuals should be in average physical condition to be able to complete the requirements of the position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position required the individual to work in both an indoor (95%) and outdoor (5%) setting. The indoor setting is a normal office environment while the outdoor setting may require work in extreme heat, cold, rain and wind. This position requires a reliable vehicle. This position can be a hybrid role upon successful completion of training at the discretion of the Human Resources Manager
COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Starting base wage of $55,000-$75,000 based on previous experience
20 days of paid time off (15 vacation, 5 sick days)
Available immediately and prorated for the first year to start date.

RRSP Enrollment at 365 Days
Company bonus (after 1 year of employment starting before Oct 31st).
