Hotel in Grand Bend ON Looking for Front Desk Associate at Grand Bend, ON Full Time

We’re a brand new, completely renovated & updated small boutique motel (15 guest rooms) in Grand Bend Ontario (opening in May 2022) that’s upscale yet unpretentious, fresh & fun…and we’re looking for great people to build our team!

We are looking to hire a few talented, confident and upbeat individuals to serve as part-time to full-time Front Desk Associates, ensuring that our brand new boutique motel delivers top-notch customer service to every single one of our guests, and being a positive member of the incredible team we’re putting together.

Hours of work are yet to be finalized but will be approximately 7:00/9:00am through 3:00pm, and 3:00/5:00pm through 11:00pm; 3-6 shifts per week (Mondays through Sundays), total 20-36 hrs per week, with the possibility of additional hours if desired as the business grows. We will be open year-round, but will likely require extra staff during the summer months so may have some seasonal positions as well. For the right candidates, we may be willing to arrange for mainly-weekday or mainly-weekend hours, depending on your needs and schedule…but full flexibility is preferred.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing exceptional and outstanding customer service including check-in, check-out, concierge & other duties

• Tending to guests’ complaints and questions and providing exceptional customer service

• Ensuring that the front desk and reception area is kept clean and organized

• Daily assistance with sales & expense records and audit reports

• Performing administrative duties such as filing and updating records, among others

• Reporting any issues, repairs & maintenance needs to the Front Desk Manager or General Manager as applicable. You will report directly to the Front Desk Manager.

Qualifications:

In addition to the description above, the ideal candidate will also have:

• a good understanding of procedures and practices in the hospitality industry (ideally a min. of 1-2 years experience)

• experience with WebRez Pro; comfort with POS systems and basic financial record-keeping

• comfort, confidence & competence using Google Docs/Drive, MS Office Suite, and computer hardware/software in general

• excellent organizational and time management skills, and meticulous attention to detail

• friendly disposition and the ability to provide exceptional customer service

• strong written and verbal communication skills

• be adaptable and flexible with duties and scheduling
