About the Role:
The House of Commons is currently looking to staff the Analyst, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) position.
The Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms and Corporate Security is responsible for providing critical corporate management services (e.g. leading strategic, business, financial, human resources and operational planning; monitoring, evaluation, policy coordination and oversight) and acts as a corporate change agent to continuously enhance the SAA-CS’s business performance and management practices.
The Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analyst is accountable for the ongoing collection, integration and analysis of OSINT data gathered from a wide range of publicly available sources, social media platforms, traditional and non-traditional internet sites, and for validating the data, sources and timeliness of such data in producing intelligence reports. Responsibilities include analyzing and linking new data with previously conducted intelligence analysis as well as referring identified or adverse information for more in-depth investigation by the Risk Management and Investigations team. The incumbent makes recommendations on improving OSINT data collection processes and tools, as well as in the improvement of information systems and processes.

Outcome
Staff the position of Analyst, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) on an indeterminate basis (permanent). Create a pool of potential candidates that may be considered to staff future vacancies for this position or for other similar and/or related positions on an indeterminate and/or determinate basis. Consideration may be given to candidates with other linguistic profiles.
