Job Description
Finance Services are currently looking to create a pool of candidates for the position Manager, Financial Management Operations (ADG-B).
As the Manager, Financial Management Operations you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and continuous renewal of proactive, strategic and timely corporate accounting operation services to the House Administration, Members, House Officers and their staff. These services include processing financial transactions and providing strategic financial advice related to revenues, expenditures, assets and liabilities, and ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance of financial information with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, the Financial Accountability Framework, policies and requirements generally applied within the Government of Canada and approved by the Board of Internal Economy. Assuming a key internal control role, ensures the appropriate verification of House expenditures and the implementation of controls to assure the integrity and security of financial data in the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers and Members’ Travel Points System.
As the functional authority for corporate revenue and expenditure processing for the House of Commons, you will oversee the processing and analysis of financial data and documents, and recommend improvements to related policies, guidelines, systems and internal controls; ensure appropriate delegation of financial authority for House Administration and Members of Parliament.
