Global Finance plays a vital role in ensuring that HSBC manages costs and deploys capital in the most effective way. The team provides financial insight, accuracy and control, using analytical skills to support our Global Businesses and influence and challenge business decisions.
About the role
This position is responsible for regulatory reporting to local regulators in Canada, developing and maintaining the procedures and processes for inputting and validating data in regulatory filings. The incumbent will participate in and provide support for all finance related projects related to Regulatory Reporting, which will include close co-ordination with Credit Risk Management, Business, IT and Operations. This position will also be responsible for Daily Capital monitoring for Securities Company
Responsibiilities
The role will have functional and entity reporting line into the Regulatory Reporting Lead for Canada. The role will be required to support key stakeholders based in Canada and collaborate with team members based in India.

Qualifications
An Accounting degree, bachelor’s degree or other qualifications relevant to the industry. MBA, CA, CWA, CS, CPA, CFA a plus.
Overall experience of at least 2-5 years
Good Knowledge of Regulatory and or Risk backgrounds
Detailed knowledge of Basel reporting requirements
Good analytical and writing skills to prepare the variance and commentary packages
Knowledge of IFRS would be a real plus
Previous employment with a Financial Institution
Experience working in/with an organization that handles complex products
Experience of working with colleagues cross-border in a multinational organization
