Requirements
Required Level 2 General Insurance License
Completion or working towards the CAIB, CIP, or FCIP or CRM designation.
Post-Secondary education or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 3 years related experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to conduct presentations for small and large groups.
Ability to work under pressure with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Detail oriented – high level of accuracy.
Holds valid BC Driver’s License – travel to client locations required.
Experience with EPIC considered an asset.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience in sales considered an asset.
A Day in the Life
Maintain an existing book of business
Take a lead position on the renewal book of business
Provide highest standard of client service
Be flexible to the needs of each client
Remain up-to-date on all current coverage available
Be proactive in foreseeing and meeting the needs of each client
Work closely with our marketing team to provide renewal terms
Participate in formal account reviews; assisting in account rounding and working diligently to provide value-added services for clients
Recognize and actively pursue new business and cross-sell opportunities with the team Account Executive
Attend and actively participate in industry and company events/meetings and actively build your network (PAMA/REIC/CHOA/CCI)
Remain up-to-date on current coverages available, industry issues and any legislative changes
Be flexible and proactive in meeting the needs of all clients
Continue professional development to enhance skills and abilities.
Account receivable collection
Attendance after hours at AGM’s and council meetings from time to time
Support other team members if back up is needed for client meetings
Participate in social activities with our property manager clients
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
