Job Description

Assist customers throughout the buying process

Greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise sought for purchase

Advise customers on use and care of merchandise and provide advice concerning specialized products

Estimate or quote prices, credit terms, warranties and delivery dates

Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or packing slips, record shortages and reject damaged goods

Assist in display of merchandise and ensure the inventory on the floor is set up and organized appropriately

Conduct sales transactions and process customer purchases on the POS system in a friendly and professional manner

Stay knowledgeable about the company’s products in order to promote them to customers effectively

Answer phone calls and assist customers over the phone

Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma required

Previous experience in a retail setting a strong asset

Exposure and experience in the healthcare field a strong asset

Experience using point of sale system an asset

Knowledge of orthotics, compression stockings, mastectomy products, orthopedic braces, and other related products a strong asset

Retail experience considered an asset

Maintains positive attitude and demonstrates the utmost in professionalism at all times

Excellent oral, written & telephone communication, along with tact, diplomacy, and a strong customer service orientation

Demonstrates a courteous and effective sales demeanor

Ability to prioritize work activities and accepts multiple job duties

Maintain effective working relationships with customers and other staff members in person and over the phone

Proficient in Microsoft Office

SAP experience considered an asset

Ability to lift up to 50lbs
