What You Will Do
Reporting to Associate Dean, Digital Learning, the Digital Learning Build Coordinator (DLBC) is the lead front-end developer on course builds within Innovative Learning (IL) and will work collaboratively with build teams including front-end developers, instructional designers, multimedia designers, subject matter experts and project analysts. The DLBC also provides support for the greater college build community by recommending build tools, standards and processes for the front-end development and maintenance of digital learning content, guiding best practices in quality assurance and accessibility, and supporting focus groups and a community of practice for build developers. Digital learning content may be hosted on the LMS, on websites and in other digital and interactive formats including virtual and mixed reality. On occasion, the DLBC will support and maintain back-end databases and department websites and may support the integration of APIs and LTIs where required.
The DLBC will offer tier-three support through the IL Support Centre as required, troubleshoot issues, and develop solutions for the LMS and related EdTech environments as required, support the department’s website(s), and liaise with members of the College community and third-party software partners where needed. The DLBC will demonstrate consistent working knowledge and application of the best practices in AODA, WCAG and other relevant web accessibility frameworks, UDL, copyright / intellectual property, citation, and related practices.
