What You Will Do
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the incumbent supports individuals seeking employment through the Employment Ontario (EO) Employment Services including Youth Job Link. Specifically, the Employment Advisor will: conduct client intake and assessment; provide services in the Resources and Information area; conduct workshops; develop employment service plans with clients including youth, to address employment needs; and match clients to suitable employment opportunities. The incumbent works with clients to establish mutually agreed upon service goals and proactively supports the client throughout the service period. Some evening and weekend work may be required. Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring To The Role
Education
The successful candidate will have a 2-year diploma in Career and Work Counselling or a related area.
Experience
The successful candidate will have three years of experience providing employment counselling to a diverse client group including youth. Preference will be given to individuals who have experience using the ACEC model and are certified in at least one of the following: Strong Personality Dimensions, COPS, or Myers Briggs. In addition, the incumbent will demonstrate experience:
Skills
Customer Service, communication, organization and Interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as a team member
