Position Title: Placement Advisor

What You Will Do
Reporting to the Manager, Work Placement Services, the Placement Advisor plays a key role in student employment success, and is responsible for the delivery of employment services to students, employer outreach and business development, and, placement administration. The incumbent assists and prepares students for their placements through the facilitation of work preparation workshops, resume feedback, mock interviews and job search coaching. Given a portfolio of programs, this individual will promote programs to industry, develop job postings, refer candidates to prospective employers, track/maintain placement records, report on placement activity, and, monitor students in the workplace. In addition to maintaining relationships with existing employers, the Advisor also conducts research and actively networks to expand the employer base. The incumbent will work as part of a collaborative team approach to placement, and contribute to career and networking events, building/maintaining relationships with employers, associations and other industry partners, and, maintaining a database of contacts.
