What You Will Do
The Project Manager, provides direct support for the Operations Business Manager and the Director, Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation. This role is focused on managing processes and activities in support of effective delivery of the key priorities of the centre for as well as coordination of specific events, internal and external projects related to the Barrett CTI Operations. The incumbent is responsible for developing and monitoring the implementation of project work plans to ensure the timely & effective management of the Barrett Centre for Technology key projects & high-profile events, including but not limited to, applied research, report preparation, budgeting, recruitment, coordination of meetings internal and external, and special events, as well as reviewing and updating BCTI communications materials.

What You Bring To The Role
Education
The successful candidate will have a four-year degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
Expereince
A minimum of five years’ experience in a related role is required. Experience in the following areas is also preferred: Comfortable working in a technology-oriented environment, conversant with Advanced Manufacturing, Digital Transformation, Automation & Robotics, Business Planning & Management, and Project Management. Project Management Professional (PMP) or CAPM Certification would be considered an asset.
Skills
Project planning, Budgeting, Financial management and coordination experience with advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and demonstrated customer service & interpersonal skills are required skills for this role. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate diplomacy & confidentiality, superior communication & writing skills, and superior organizational & time management skills. The incumbent will also possess the ability to build trust and cultivate relationships.
