What You Will Do
Under the supervision of the Curator and Academic Manager of the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre, the Research Assistant is responsible for supporting the Interpretive Centre’s mission to research, preserve and share the natural and built heritage of the Lakeshore Grounds region in South Etobicoke. This includes conducting research for various projects, using primary and secondary sources, collections and archival materials, academic sources, and others regularly. Duties include conducting research and completing object records and condition reports for the art, artifact, and archival collections of the Interpretive Centre; supporting the development of exhibition, tour, and programming resources; and building on the knowledge of the site through various collaborative academic and community projects.
The incumbent will have entry-level experience in historical research and heritage programming:
