At Humber River Hospital, Decision Support (DSS) plays a pivotal role in understanding the business/reporting needs of the hospital, identifying, tracking, analyzing and making recommendations for corrective action to financial/statistical utilization issues; and ensuring the hospital is meeting Central Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC), and other external regulatory/stakeholder reporting requirements. Reporting Relationship: Manager of Analytics and BI Reporting
Schedule Requirements: Must be available to work Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work may be required.

Position Responsibilities:
As an expert resource, provides support in the implementation of business intelligence tools.
Works collaboratively with business contacts, analysts and other subject matter experts identifying understanding and documenting business needs for data.
Develops, implements and monitors analytics solutions from multiple databases to ensure efficient processing, up-to-date tools, and improved clinical and operational efficiencies.
Performs programming and analysis work to improve user determined data analyses and reports.
Providing expert-level consulting services in identification and resolution of data design issues.
Create and maintains complex SQL Queries.
Oversees the design complex conceptual, logical and physical data models, including complex data modeling, mapping, and integration efforts.
Maintains and updates custom tables in specific BI databases.
Assists Manager with training of departmental staff in development of new BI tools/dashboards.
Assists DSS staff in training leaders in the production and interpretation of reports.
Qualifications:
3 years of experience with decision support or financial planning and analysis, developing and implementing business intelligence tools database systems, data management, analysis and reporting required.
Diploma in Computer Science, Health Information management or related programs.
Canadian Health Information Management System (CHIM) certification preferred.
Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) programing, query design and developing scripts and reporting preferred.
Strong knowledge and understanding of data: defining and working with models both physical and logical: data management, analysis and reporting.
Understanding of data quality assurance processes and procedures.
Well versed with Source to Target Mapping.
Experience in business intelligence tools and Meditech or similar system preferred
Strong Analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, organization and problem-solving.
Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
