The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for a Co-op Student to assist the accounting team at Hyper Hippo. This role would manage full cycle accounts payable and assist in the preparation of monthly reconciliations and month end tasks.
An Accounting Assistant’s Impact
Visa Management
Collect receipts from cardholders and match them against statements
Collect and track down receipts from cardholders
Enter Visa statements and reconcile in accounting system
Full Cycle Accounts Payable
Verify invoice amounts against executed contracts
Enter and code invoices into accounting system
Accounts Payable workflow management including gathering approvals through software
Prepare and reconcile bank payments
Account Reconciliations
Prepare month end bank & Visa reconciliations
Contract Management
Maintain digital filing of vendor agreements and contracts
Other ad hoc month end work as assigned by mentors
Your Track Record Includes
Strong communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Time management skills
Eager to learn
Completion of 3rd year university program in finance, accounting, or business management
