Founded in 1994, the International Bureau for Children’s Rights – “the Bureau” or “IBCR” is an international non-governmental organisation (NGO) whose mission is to contribute to the respect and promotion of children’s right around the world.
Through a participatory and sustainable approach, we work with our partners on the ground to promote and protect the rights of children, whether they are in contact with the justice system or facing a humanitarian crisis situation, caused by armed conflict or natural disaster. We also work to prevent all forms of exploitation, violence, abuse and neglect of children, including for sexual purposes.

SUMMARY OF THE OFFER
Under the responsibility of the Volunteer Cooperation Programme (PCV) Coordinator and in close collaboration with the Project Manager and the Regional Manager, the volunteer cooperant will carry out his/her mandate with the partner organisation – the Institut Supérieur de Travail Social (ISTS) – in order to strengthen its capacities in the field of adult education. In particular, the development worker will support training of trainers workshops and support the partner in developing a management tool to record good practice in the training of social workers. The post holder will actively participate in the PCV activities in order to achieve the planned results. The incumbent will also contribute to the development of reports and communication articles related to the activities developed and implemented.
ABOUT THE PARTNER
ISTS trains professionals in Social Work. It works with experienced teachers in Social Work. ISTS is a private denominational institute of higher education affiliated to the Catholic University of Madagascar (U.C.M). The training provided is sanctioned by a professional diploma in social work according to the chosen speciality. The social workers who graduate from ISTS are directly operational. Since its creation at the same time as Madagascar’s independence, ISTS has set itself a double objective. Firstly, to be an actor in development in its own right and to contribute to the building of a state governed by the rule of law and the advent of a democratic society where inequalities and injustices are combated and wealth is equitably shared. This commitment to the development of Madagascar is reflected in the second objective of ISTS. It is to train competent and committed professionals in all areas of social work to make them available to public and private structures that work for justice, law, the reduction of inequalities and human promotion…
