EDUCATION:
Graduate in Human Resources or related Business Administration degree
Certified Human Resources Professional
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 10 years of related HR experience that includes at least 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience
Experience in the Construction Industry preferred
Experience in Union relations preferred
Experience in international HR practises preferred

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the HR practise with the organisation
Provide guidance to senior leadership on HR matters
Guide and mentor the HR Administrator
Implement effective recruitment policies and processes that create an awesome team – both in the field and the office. New recruits will be capable and suitable
Create and maintain a development plan for the organisation to ensure that our talent continues to develop and succession planning is an easy exercise
Implement an effective performance review process
Develop and advise management on employee compensation plans
Provide support to management/supervisor team to manage their teams effectively
Ensure organisation stays compliant with current legislation
Manage the disciplinary action process
Liaise with external counsel when necessary
Provide support on Trade union relationships
Support organisation in provincial and overseas growth and identify strategies to ensure successful hiring of key positions in such areas
Engages in conflict resolution and works with managers, staff, and employees to resolve issues
Attends regular tactical and strategic meetings as required
Ensure that all direct reports complete the duties as defined in their respective job descriptions
OTHER:
Must have a valid driver’s licence.
Must speak, read and write English expertly.
