We are currently seeking a full-time Junior Accounts Receivable & Payable Associate to join our Toronto team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the junior coordinator will be providing support in the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable division. Responsibilities Accounts Receivable: * Process cheques and all accounts receivable items (EFT, E-transfer, credit card, debit card) received * Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions * Prepare bank deposit and deposit log * Investigate and follow-up with internal and external clients on invoice and deposit discrepancies * Effectively follow up with clients for past-due invoices, credit hold and release, and credit limits * Engage management over any problematic receivable accounts * Send invoices through customer portals * Process credit application of new customers * Set up new customers in the system and update existing customers’ information * Generate aged analysis reports as required * Perform other AR duties as assigned Accounts Payable: * Process vendor invoices * Reconcile vendor statements and address all past-due items * Respond to inquiries from vendors and other internal contacts * Meet deadlines and obtain proper invoice approvals * Month/year end closes * Perform other AP duties as assigned Requirements * 1+ year of experience in a related field * Possess a strong understanding of accounting principles * Undergraduate degree or post-secondary diploma in accounting is an asset * Strong computer skills * Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) * Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills * Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills * Ability to prioritize and multitask to meet time sensitive deadlines * Team player IDN-Canada offers a competitive salary and benefits package, monthly bonus opportunities, and a RSP program. Full-time position. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
