JOB DESCRIPTION
Come work at iDream Interactive, where you can help build new software and games! As a Web Designer, you will work with a cross-functional team of talented developers, artists, animators, and designers. Our work is technically challenging and also incredibly rewarding.
Your primary responsibilities will be designing new websites, mobile apps, and UX/UI elements for video games. Meanwhile, we have technical artists available to translate your UX/UI designs into Unity or other game engines.
* Work from home for anyone in Ontario.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
– They will be responsible for designing websites and mobile apps in Photoshop, Adobe XD, Figma or other equivalent software.
– They will be responsible for meeting with clients to understand their needs better.
– They will be responsible for preparing wireframes, mock-ups and storyboards.
– They will be responsible for sprint planning estimations and executing on those timelines.
– They will update their Jira tickets with status and comment updates.
– They will have open and honest communication with co-workers (product owner, other devs, game producers, QA, artists)
– They will attend retrospective meetings and provide feedback to co-workers.
REQUIREMENTS
– 2+ years of experience designing websites and applications.
– Web design/front-end development certificate/diploma.
– Excellent analytical and communication skills.
– Excellent attention to detail.
– Self-motivation, team orientation, and a passion for design.
– Proficient in Photoshop, Adobe XD, Figma or equivalent software.
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience with Illustrator and other Adobe Suite applications.
– Experience creating UX/UI elements for video games.
– Experience designing in-game assets/menu systems.
– Passion for video games.
