A growing accounting firm is seeking a candidate who will be responsible for maintaining records of financial transactions for various clients; ensure compliance to filing requirements. Light commuting within the GTA.
Job Duties:
- Full cycle bookkeeping tasks for small business clients using QBO, QB Desktop and Excel continuity schedules
- Perform bank reconciliations, HST reconciliations, payroll, WSIB, EHT and GST/HST remittances
- Prepare final trial balance and maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
- Contacting clients for documents required to complete bookkeeping assignments.
- Prepares various ad-hoc financial reports analyzing information and trends for clients
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Maintain, manage and grow listing of bookkeeping clients
- Apply appropriate tech stack and procedures to optimize workflow for the firm
- Some travel may be required
- CPA firm experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of personal and corporate taxes is an asset.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proficient
Quickbooks online and Quickbooks Desktop
Working Knowledge
Microsoft one drive and Microsoft office applications
Demonstrated Ability
To work with numbers, Research and Problem Solve, Be Thorough and Timely and Multi-Task
