Intermediate Software Developer – Contract position in Vancouver (Hybrid):
On behalf of our client in Vancouver, Ignite Technical Resources is looking for an Intermediate Software Developer with our client for a contract opportunity.
Role Description:
The Software Developer II is responsible for developing one or more parts of application systems (systems of engagement and/or systems of record) and integration with other systems, including designing it to fit into the architecture, prototyping the user interface, implementing, unit-testing, and integrating the components that are part of the solution.
This Software Developer will also require experience with Power Apps, Power Platform, Dynamics, and CRM and will work with the stakeholders to understand solution requirements and translate these into Power Automate Solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Typically assigned to medium complexity work with occasional stretch targets of complex work.
- Fully participates in activities that support the team’s delivery and continuous improvement through assisting other roles with their work, mentoring, and promoting a respectful and collaborative culture.
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot Automate Desktop to automate tasks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and 3-6 years of equivalent work experience in IT.
- Of the 3-6 years, a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience with agile methodologies, cloud, and a DevOps environment, IT is involving development, unit testing, production support, and problem resolution.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Considerable experience in leading the development cycle (design, develop, integrate, test, prototype).
- Considerable experience using agile and DevOps tools, techniques, and processes.
- Considerable experience participating in all activities that support team delivery.
- Ability to work with medium complexity and integrated environments.
- 3-6 years of direct hands-on work experience with at least 4 years of agile/DevOps experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Stack with technologies and frameworks like .Net, C#, JavaScript, SQL, JQuery, Angular 6 and up, HTML, CSS, XUnit, NUnit, Entity Framework, TDD, Regis Cache, and Git. Exposure to microservices is preferred.
- Be able to design, develop, troubleshoot, and evaluate automated solutions using Power Automate designer.
- Minimum 1 year experience with Microsoft Power Automate Desktop.
- Understand and have some experience with how to build Attended and Unattended RPAs.
- Understand and have experience with how to work with system flows, control flows, mimic mouse actions as well as manipulate text, date, and time.
- Have experience building out cloud flows.
- Have a security mindset when building automation.
- Understand and have experience with how to deploy and manage solutions.
- Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform suite of tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse).
- Knowledge of and experience with working with different connectors in the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) training and certification like SAFe Practitioner, or willingness to take the course and obtain certification within 2 months from commencement of work.
- Able to comply with the company’s Employee and Contractor Mandatory Vaccine Policy.
