Production Supervisor (heavy industry) – Canada

Are you a proven Production Supervisor in heavy industry seeking your next meaningful new role? A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join my client’s heavy fabrication team in Nova Scotia, Canada, on a permanent/staff basis.

Key Responsibilities for the Production Supervisor

• Plan, organize, and coordinate work of employees on crew.
• Assign work, set expectations and accountability for completion.
• Ensure quality and timeliness of work is completed within budgeted parameters.
• Assign and status jobs/coordinate operational schedule.
• Adhere to labour contract and ensure compliance.
• Foster an environment that is focused on safety and recommend process improvement initiatives.
• Comply with all company procedures.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

The Production Supervisor will be expected to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Completion at either College / Vocational or Technical Training level
• 6+ years production supervisory experience in heavy industry
• 6+ years trade experience (pipefitting, metal fabrication, steel erector or welding) in heavy industry
• Problem solving skills and ability to lead and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Open to EU candidates that command strong English language skills
