indie is empowering the Autotech revolution with next generation automotive semiconductors and software platforms. We focus on edge sensors spanning multiple modalities including LiDAR, radar, ultrasound and vision for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous vehicles, connected car, user experience and electrification applications.

You will be part of the software group in indie’s Vision Business Unit, creating and bringing to market leading-edge image and video processing solutions for our high performance current and next generation ICs to the rapidly growing automotive camera market. As a Software QA Automation Engineer, you will design, maintain and conduct test cases and test plans according to software requirements, implement embedded test software to validate our products on-device, as well as develop and execute tests scripts on our automation testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Working in the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) team located in the Toronto, Canada Design Centre, you will have the following responsibilities:
• Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test plans to validate generic and customer software releases
• Develop embedded test code in C to validate software on-device
• Design, develop and maintain automation test scripts, and contribute to continuous software integration through test automation using Python
• Participate in the review of work provided by team members
• Work closely with the software development teams to help triage and root cause issues found in manual and automated testing
• File bug reports for all the failures with complete details and perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Execute manual test cycles and record results using test management tools. Testing will range from regression, release, and on-demand
• Reproduce customer-found issues and define/develop new tests to catch future issues

• BS degree in EE/CS/CE with 3+ years of experience as SQA in video processing domain
• Proficient in writing test code in C/C++
• Strong proficiency in Python programming language and Windows/Linux shell scripting
• Experience in all phases of the QA cycle including functional, system, regression and performance test
• Analytical and detail-oriented with strong English verbal and written communication skills
• Other scripting or automation experience, especially knowledge of REST API, Robot Framework and Jenkins
• Experience with handling hardware/circuit boards
