Project Site Representative to support the Owner’s project team on a major new transit facility project in the Lower Mainland, BC.
Responsibilities
- Monitor site construction activities and schedule and prepare daily field reports.
- Coordinate integration of civil, structural, systems and rail installations.
- Participate with Owner’s team and consultants in review of Contractor submissions and RFIs.
- Support the Project Manager in construction issues management and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Support the Owner’s team in project schedule, scope and cost management.
- Work with the Owner’s Quality Manager to conduct audits and site reviews to confirm Contractor compliance with Project requirements and submitted plans.
- Verify and sign off on daily Contractor submissions for work conducted on force account/ time and materials.
- Support review and verification of Contractor monthly progress invoices, and claims.
- Participate in and take notes for Owner record, of construction and stakeholder coordination meetings.
- Liaise with Project stakeholders such as owners of public utilities, roads, transit systems and railways.
Qualifications
- Civil or structural Engineering degree or related technical degree or diploma.
- Candidates with previous direct experience on structural and/or rail transit infrastructure construction sites will be preferred.
- Experience in construction contract administration.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines to ensure key project timelines are maintained.
- Prior experience in scheduling software, SharePoint and document management systems will be an asset.
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with all project participants.
Compensation and the contracting/employment arrangement is negotiable.
