The role is responsible for the management and implementation of assigned projects. This includes the delivery of Capital Projects (renovations, additions and/or new builds) as assigned. These projects will include the day-to-day management of projects (including management of Consultants and Contractors), coordination with Ministry clients, and the internal coordination with other Infrastructure Ontario (IO) divisions in support of the implementation of the project. The role will be required to continually engage and build relationships with Ministry stakeholders and external project partners, providing the forum for open, safe and collaborative workplace environment.
To be successful in this role, the incumbent brings sound project management and stakeholder management skills, the ability to adapt quickly and respond to a changing environment, and experience finding positive solutions to issues with clients and diverse teams of project Consultants and Contractors. The ability to coach, mentor and delegate to a team of junior colleagues would be an asset.
