About the role
We’re looking for an Auto Adjusters, to join our growing team!
As an Auto Adjuster, your work will have a big impact on the investigation and handling of automobile claims for our personal lines customers. You will obtain details to determine the circumstances and causes of the loss; transcribe and check the statements and calculate the damage covered by the policy, to negotiate a fair settlement of the claim.
Here are a few ways you’ll make a difference:
Investigate simple and relatively complex automobile claims in a timely and respectful manner through communication with customers, vendors, brokers and any other related parties
Analyze the client’s insurance coverage and explain clearly what their protections are in relation to the claim presented
Collect the facts about the circumstances of the incident from policyholders, third parties and other stakeholders to determine the circumstances, causes and admissibility of claims
Assess the potential liability of the insured and / or third party by supporting their reasoning on relevant and well-substantiated investigation elements
Anticipate recoveries and direct the investigation accordingly.
Communicate effectively with the client to inform them of developments, ensuring they are kept apprised of the claims pogression
Annotate and document your file in accordance with the company’s standards and guidelines
Negotiate complaints efficiently, if appropriate
Ensure sound management of external costs
Provide a superior quality of customer service to external and internal customers, and answer queries relating to the claims process
Qualifications
What you bring to the table:
Minimum 1 year of claims handling experience in an automobile damage claims environment
University degree or college diploma is an asset
Completed or working towards a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset
Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and goal oriented, capable of working in a fast paced and changing environment
Demonstrates strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills

Flexible Work Arrangements
Starting in March, team members can choose whether to work at the office or work from home (minimal exceptions where role required in office). In May, we will introduce our flexible hybrid approach which will give us all the best of both worlds. Time spent in office will be guided by each team’s need for in-person connections. There will be no minimum/maximum days spent requirements.
