About the role
We are looking for a Manager, IT Project Portfolio
ROLE:
The Manager, IT Project Portfolio is responsible for planning, leading and implementing all aspects of their portfolio in support to Security, Infrastructure and End User Computing. In this role, the Portfolio Manager must maintain a comprehensive view of the portfolio, support governance, ensure quality of project artifacts, ensure budget control and align the organization with priorities. The portfolio manager is also responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with business partners and the various IT departments’ Management and work in close collaboration with them to deliver the portfolio.
Main responsibilities:
Manage the delivery of the portfolio by integrating the organization’s strategies, priorities and issues.
Define the scope and overall objectives of the projects with project leads and business unit leads.
Provide leadership for the portfolio; formalize governance, processes, procedures and quality control.
Ensure the selection of projects for the entire portfolio by establishing priorities with business partners.
Present portfolio status to management (progress, risks, issues, dependencies, costs, risks) and implement actions required to deliver all portfolio initiatives.
Supervise a team of project managers, PCOs and BAs enabling the delivery of portfolio projects.
Monitor quality of project artifacts and ensure alignment with project office guidelines.
Support the use of best practices, adherence to project office guidelines and recommendations across all portfolio initiatives (using an integrated plan, aligning budget, resource requirements and program/project dependencies, managing risks and dependencies, etc.)
Identify, initiate and implement continuous improvements for Management (portfolio management, project delivery, governance, etc.)
Support the training of team members and guide them towards project completion.
Act as a mentor and coach for the team.
Qualifications
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years of experience managing IT projects.
Minimum 5 years of direct staff management experience, including performance, development, workload management, human resources aspects, etc.
Excellent communication skills and ability to bring meaning and consistency to decisions.
Dynamic and excellent ability to drive change and transformation.
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment
Knowledge and experience in capacity management principles
Leadership, coaching, planning and organizational skills
Broad experience in business and supplier relationship management.
Demonstrate integrity, thoroughness and exemplary work ethic.
Demonstrate a high level of judgment and maturity.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a very dynamic environment with several priorities.
Knowledge of Agile concepts
Experience working with tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Clarity or similar tools
Project management certification, an asset.
Bilingualism (English and French), an asset.

Right now, we support 100% remote work, if your role permits. Once it’s safe to do so, we will move to a hybrid approach which will give everyone the best of both worlds – a mix of home and in-office workdays. Schedules will be determined in partnership between individuals, managers, and the team.
