We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer / Software Developer to join our team and help us make a big impact in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. Your role will be crucial for the success of our CAD software/plugin development efforts, and you’ll be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, including the prototyping, development, deployment and maintenance of new and existing features, both on the front-end and back-end of our stack.
Education & Qualifications, Required:
- Post-secondary degree in in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field may substitute for education only
Skills & Experience, Required:
- 3 to 6 years industry experience, as software developer or full stack developer
- C#, JavaScript, Python, Json, HTML, CSS
- Frameworks such as .NET Core and React
- Database languages such as SQL and RDBMS schema design
- Data structure file formats such as JSON and XML
- Versioning control systems such as GIT and repositories hosting services such as GitHub
- Knowledge of unit testing and unit testing tools
- Agile software development workflows
Skills & Experience, considered an asset but could be learned on the job:
- AEC industry web frameworks experience is a plus (Three.js, WebGL, Autodesk Forge, Rhino Compute, and others)
- Background and/or experience in the AEC industry
- UI/UX design concepts
The Role & Responsibilities:
- Understand and help guide the overall mission of the company’s software automation
- Participate in, or lead, the design and creation of scalable software to automate design and manufacturing processes
- Write and help the team to write clean, functional code on the front- and back-end
- Become the source of knowledge for the team for coding and testing practices
- Work as part of an Agile team using a Digital Delivery Methodology
- Interpret business requirements and assess change impact and effort
- Implement automated unit testing with all application changes
- Identify and resolve integration issues
- Utilize industry best practices within our existing technology stack
Important to Mention!
- This position is full-time at our Vancouver, BC Office, with the option to work 2 days from home
- Willingness to commute on occasion at the Delta, BC manufacturing facility
- Flexibility and eligibility to travel on occasion will be required, including to the US
