Intelligent Data Solutions Inc is a Nisku based Inspection firm seeking trainees interested in pursuing a career in API 510 / ABSA In-Service Inspection.
We have a variety of upcoming inspection work across the province that we are looking for support with. Successful trainees will have opportunities on various short and long-term projects.
We are looking for hardworking individuals with a positive attitude. An ability to effectively work as part of a team is essential. Successful individuals should have a desire to continue to grow their knowledge base, competency, and certifications.
Candidates must also be willing to work in remote locations, mainly in Northern Alberta (Grande Prairie, Fox Creek), with out-of-town pay provided. Work will include a combination of on-site work (out of town) and office work (Nisku). This position is full-time.
Responsibilities
Trainees:
- Assist inspectors in preparing parts for inspection, following all relevant SOP’s and procedures including: washing, buffing, ragging, both prior to and post-inspection.
- Assist inspectors in completing post-inspection documentation.
- Gain hands-on knowledge in pursuit of inspector certification.
- Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs of equipment.
Qualifications
- Microsoft office experience an asset for applying candidates.
- AutoCAD or similar CAD experience an asset for applying candidates.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers license required for this position.
- Ability to safely operate power tools in a field environment.
- Confined Space, H2S, Fall Arrest, First Aid, are all assets for applying candidates. Training will be provided if required.
