Intent works with hospitals, libraries, governments, public health groups, research initiatives, scientists, community organizers, international development NGOs, LGBTQ+ organizations, industry associations and more.
We create brands, design and develop complex websites, develop integrated campaigns, run digital initiatives, manage social media, make videos, and much more for our wonderful non-profit clients.
We deeply value our team, paying over average compensation, enforcing a strict 9-5 workday, providing additional personal days, and just generally treating our employees far better than most. We have zero turnover at Intent, which is unheard of in the fast paced agency world.
About the Role—Intermediate Designer
We are looking for someone to:
- Create compelling, creative, and strategic creative design work
- Projects may include campaigns, print products (reports, brochures, publications), branding, and web/digital projects
- Work diligently from their home office/remote
- Work closely with our team, consisting of a creative director, two account managers, a design director, two copywriters, two designers, a production artist, a developer, and more
- Able to execute excellent creative solutions with accuracy and attention to detail
- Review final files for errors and suggesting improvements, when necessary, before printing or publishing them
- Welcome and implement all client changes

- Bring integrity, honesty, collaboration, and enthusiasm to our team
- Effectively communicate with team members through Slack, email, Zoom, and phone.
- Ability to work independently, in close collaboration with our account team and creative director, primarily through Slack and Asana
Compensation:
- $55,000–65,000 per annum, paid every two weeks via direct deposit
- Three month probation period
- If probation is successful, equipment, benefits, RRSP, and vacation time will be offered
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience working within an agency setting
- Demonstrable experience working on client projects
- Demonstrable experience producing campaigns, brands, websites, and more
- Graduation from a recognized university or college program
- 4–6 years agency/studio experience preferred
- Or, 6-9 years of inhouse experience
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), DropBox, Google Docs required
