Markham, Ontario, Canada – Full Time
This position is a paid internship that can lead to part time and/or full time.
ISN Stores is a fast growing e-commerce shopping network. As a member of our Software Development Team, you’ll work on our the back-bone that supports thousands of visitors each day. Our development team is constantly writing code to improve our back-end efficiencies and customer support and to enhance our customer’s shopping experiences.
We are searching for talented, smart, logical, passionate thinkers that have experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, and MySQL. Our back end is data driven, so understanding of SQL is an asset. Understanding of API and Payment Gateway functions and integrations are key in both desk top and mobiles environments.
We have big ideas and are looking for people to help us push the envelope and develop the unheard-of in the e-commerce world.
What an Internet Stores Network (ISN) Software Engineer does…
- Writes logical and functional PHP code
- Provides technical code improvements to our environment
- Contributes to HTML, Javascript, and CSS ecosystems for continuous improvement and efficiencies
- Implements and creates new strategies to improve back-end operations
- Develops software and scripts that are scalable and work well under continuous calls
- Works closely with other team members to develop cutting edge e-commerce features
Key Skills we require
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering from a college or university
- Have 5 years of web development experience
- In-depth knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HMTL, CSS
- Indepth-knowledge of jQuery
- Understand payment gateway security and integration
- Exposure to API integration for desk-top and mobile platforms
- Excellent interpersonal skills, loved to be challenged, and passionate about self improvment
