What you’ll bring
BS/MS degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent 8+ years of software engineering experience developing robust, scalable, distributed,and highly available web systems Strong problem solving and communication skills across both technical andnon-technical audiences Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Expert knowledge in: frontend software development using Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, React andRedux backend software development using Java Spring to expose and consumeRESTful web services, Async message queues/topics Working knowledge of developing on AWS & Kubernetes Passion for continuous learning, sharing knowledge and experimenting Any of these skills would be an asset: Agile principles & methodologies UI / User Experience Design Machine Learning Evaluation of ML models Natural Language Understanding & ChatbotsIf you think you have what we need, we would love to meet you!
How you will lead
Lead our technical team through full-stack ownership of our products Ensure the team deeply understands customer problems Gather functional requirements, develop technical specifications and test plans Drive the design, code (~60% of your time), and delivery of incremental solutionsagainst a long-term vision meeting our high standards and targets Partner closely with a cross-functional team of Engineers, Architects, ProductManagers, and Business Partners Seed and maintain a backlog of planned and future efforts Help foster a culture of learning & experimentation across the team Participate in on-call rotations to support our partners in resolving production issues &responding to their inquiries Actively seek & drive technological and process innovation through data
