The Invasive Species Council of BC is a provincial non-profit organization working to protect and restore BC’s landscapes and habitats from the devastating impacts of invasive species. Over the past 15 years, the Council has developed and delivered outreach, training, and skill development programs while working closely with a network of partners, including the Indigenous Invasive Species Network, Local Government Invasive Species Network, and the Province of BC.

SUMMARY
Reporting to the People and Special Projects Manager, the IT HelpDesk Technician provides technical assistance on computer systems and serves as the first contact for employees who need technical assistance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Remote troubleshoot support to staff for any issues with O365 (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
• ISC O365 administration, setting up SharePoint sites, managing user licenses (E3/E1)
• Computer and tablet set-ups (Windows/Mac), including antivirus, AzureAD, and all software necessary for optimal operation.
• Train staff on ISC O365 use
• Support website and listserv hosting, managing additions and maintenance issues.
• Support Event Team in virtual event production for various annual and ad-hoc events.
• Support the reporting process from external platforms such as iNaturalist, ReportInvasives, and others as designated.
• Act as the technical contact on the external contracting of app development

What skills and strengths you will bring as an IT HelpDesk Analyst:

• BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field
• 1-year experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role
• Working knowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote control
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer-oriented
