You’ll be responsible for preparing and submitting monthly invoices in an accurate and timely fashion with all required backup documentation. You’ll work with Project Managers to obtain proper approval prior to submitting invoices to clients. You’ll be responsible for setting up new projects, performing budget revisions, and entering cost transfers into the accounting system as required. You’ll be responsible for ensuring proper billing rates for employees /contractors are assigned for each project. You’ll be responsible for calculating and posting construction management fees and other direct cost entries and for issuing cost reports to Project Managers on a weekly basis or as requested. You’ll develop and issue reports to management as needed.
You’ll be working mainly from home (unless you prefer to work in our Vaughan office), but you’ll have to be available to travel for occasional team /client meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance or Business Management preferred
2-5 years of previous project accounting experience
Experience in the engineering consulting preferred
Highly reliable with strong organization skills to manage a large number of documents and information
Very strong analytical skills, knowledge of general accounting principles
Advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel as well as fundamental skills with other Microsoft Products
Familiarity with accounting software packages preferred
Proven team player with strong time management skills and high attention to detail
Entrepreneurial spirit, displaying creativity and innovation by continually working to improve solutions, tools, methods and service delivery system
