IQ PARTNERS Inc. Looking for Construction Manager at Ontario, Canada Full Time

Our client is seeking a Construction Manager for a full-time permanent position in Northern Ontario. As the Construction Manager, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. With your keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills, you will ensure that all construction activities align with the established timeline and budget. The Construction Manager is an integral position who oversees and directs construction projects from conception to completion.

YOUR JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating paving operations from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget
• Preparing and submitting construction project budget estimates
• Planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitoring progress against established schedules
• Preparing contracts and negotiating revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Developing and implementing quality control programs
• Overseeing construction sites to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
• Review work progress on a daily basis including planning ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
• Analyzing, managing, and mitigating risks
• Preparing progress reports and issuing progress schedules to clients
• Directing the purchase of materials and equipment and tracking inventory
• Hiring and supervising the activities of subcontractors and staff
• Consistently ensure your team is compliant with all company policies and procedures: following or exceeding safety standards and attending to required maintenance and training requirements
• Expectations are that the applicant is a self-starter who can assist in the growth of this operation of the Company
• Other duties as assigned

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

• Postsecondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• Minimum 5-10 years of industry experience specifically in paving operations
• Minimum 5 years at a managerial level
• Estimating and field experience an asset
• Interest and ability to travel
• G driver’s license
