Reporting to the Manager, Workforce Scheduling Quality Improvement and Education, the Continuous Improvement Coordinator (CIC), Workforce Scheduling is responsible for providing leadership to Scheduling and Timekeeping Teams to improve team performance. In particular, the CIC provides expertise in the mapping, measurement and facilitated redesign of processes, and in the monitoring of results with teams. The CIC acts as a ‘coach’ or ‘facilitator’ to Teams to support their internal quality improvement process. The CIC provides leadership in managing the implementation of departmental policy and technology changes.
Travel may be a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of Island Health in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.
A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Health Information, or related discipline. Proven track record with process re-design and workflow analysis resulting in measurable process improvements. A minimum of three (3), preferably five (5), years related experience. Experience in a healthcare field is preferred.
