Under the direction of the Manager or designate, plates meals for residents, visitors, and staff; washes and scrubs pots, pans and related dish washing duties; prepares and portions therapeutic diet items including nourishment’s; measures and combines food and beverage ingredients by methods such as grinding, blending, slicing, dicing and/or puree; and checks residents meals to ensure dietary accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Grade 10 plus one year’s recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills And Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to organize work.
Ability to operate related equipment.
Ability to deal effectively with others.
