Reporting to the Director, the Manager of the Provider Education & Experience department is responsible for managing the departmental staff in the ordering provider education and experience related to Island Health’s Electronic Health Record (EHR). The Manager is responsible for working closely with and in collaboration with Professional Practice, Medical Affairs, Learning and Performance Support, Clinical Informatics and the Project Delivery Office both within Island Health and across health authorities. In addition, the Manager also works directly with Island Health and affiliated academic, research organizations, and institutions.
Travel may be a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Vancouver Island Health Authority in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in Business, Health Information Science, or patient care/clinical related discipline is preferred. Seven (7) years’ recent health care environment experience in successfully implementing and delivering education to foster changes in clinical practice across multiple areas of an organization or multiple organizations. .

Ability to adapt and remain flexible in order to meet changing priorities and resource constraints.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
