Reporting to the Coordinator, Professional Services, schedules and books out-patient appointments and performs general accounting, clerical, receptionist, and word processing duties for Rehabilitation Engineering Services, using a personal computer and word processing, presentation, database, spreadsheet, and related software tools. As a designated First Aide Attendant, administers first aid in accordance with WorkSafe BC regulatory requirements and VIHA policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized accounting course and two year’s recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills And Abilities
Ability to keyboard at 45 wpm
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to deal effectively with others.
Ability to operate related equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to organize work.
Ability to supervise.
