ITALPASTA Limited Looking for QA Supervisor at Brampton, ON Full Time

ITALIA ALIMENTARI CANADA is look for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join to the team in Brampton. The Ideal candidate must have had previous GFSI audit experience. It is a permanent full-time position with the company.

QA SUPERVISOR Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensure facilities are ready for all announced or unannounced audits such as ownership, regulatory and customer audits for meat operations.

2. Verify the daily monitoring procedures for HACCP plan and worked on corrective action procedures.

3. Perform floor verification (3 times a day), incoming raw material traceability and Label verification.

4. Engage in new product development, Label making and verification and product launch activities.

5. Provide food safety training to production employees, including retraining and coaching as required. Responsible for hold and release of meat products related to pathogen test programs and non-conformance incidents.

6. Handling swabbing for Food contact surfaces and food sampling for micro analysis.

7. Lead the cross functional teams for internal and external audits and CFIA inspections and follow up on recommendations and root cause analysis as required. Audit internally for existing GFSI certification requirements against the current FSMS.

8. Perform document reassessment, supplier evaluations, HACCP plan review and maintain documentation (COA/COS/COC) from suppliers including updated certifications and specification sheets.

9. Ensure full compliance to all company procedures/policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

10. Provide regular communication to operations team on Food safety and quality regarding corrective actions, non-conformances, regulatory updates, customer updates, supplier updates etc.

QA SUPERVISOR Qualifications:

1. Must have a bachelor’s degree in food safety or related field

2. Must have previous experience in working in a Meat industry and with CFIA

3. HACCP certified

4. Able to work in extended shifts if required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
