Position: Site Supervisor
Department: Commercial, Industrial & Residential
Reports To: Project Manager
Overview:
The Site Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the process of the construction projects and ensuring compliance with construction safety regulations. They supervise construction workers and subcontractors, and evaluate employee performance. Additionally, they are responsible for ensuring the flow of communication between the job site and project management team and coordinating the work done on site.
Roles & Responsibilities:
In addition to the above duties, the Commercial/Industrial Site Supervisors are responsible to:
· Lead daily safety meetings.
· Other duties as assigned.
Deadlines:
It is the responsibility of the Site Supervisor to ensure all deadlines are met:
· Project deadlines as per the schedule.
· Ad-hoc deadlines as required.
Education/Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent is required.
· Post secondary education in construction management, civil engineering, or related field is preferred.
· 5+ years experience in industrial, commercial, or residential construction is required.
· Experience in a leadership role is an asset.
· Basic computer skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Supervisory Duties:
This position requires supervision of multiple employees. The supervisor’s responsibilities include assisting the manager with regular performance reviews and career development with all direct reports. They oversee delegating tasks equally across the team and keep employees updated on information from the Executive Management team. Some conflict resolution may be required with assistance from Human Resources.
Mental Demands:
This position will manage a number of requests and priorities at one time. Constant pivoting between multiple tasks can be expected which come with tight deadlines. Increased stress levels due to high work volumes and strict project schedules should be expected in this role. Problem solving project issues can also contribute to increased stress levels.

Work Environment:
